In order to live your life without fear, hesitation and regret, you have to know exactly who you are and why you are here. The best way to make this discovery is through self reflection and meditation. By taking some time to really reflect, you can clearly define your vision, purpose, passion, strengths and skills. After making these personal assessments, you can confidently take focused actions to leave your mark on the world.
I’ve found that it’s easier to map out your life from a futuristic standpoint. In other words, answer the following questions by imagining that you’re old as hell (85 or 90) and are looking back on your life. Doing so forces you to think about how you truly want to live and will enable you to take actions without regret or fear. After all, when you look backwards, you realize that you had to take certain actions to have lived the life of your dreams.
So, imagine that you are 85 or 90 years old…
What Was Your Vision?
Who are you and what did you accomplish? Who did you become? What have you done to make the world a better place? What kind of legacy did you leave for your family?
What Was Your Purpose?
How did you achieve your vision? Were your desires met? Did you help others along your journey? What did you contribute to the world?
What Was Your Passion?
What did you do during your life that excited you? What drove you the most? What did you love to talk about and share with the world? What got you fired up?
What Were Your Strengths?
What talents did you use to accomplish your goals? What new things did you learn on your journey? What did you have to learn to help you succeed? What skills did you have to master?
Who Were Your Biggest Fans?
Who did you help the most throughout your life? How did you serve them? What values, beliefs, and challenges did the have?
What Was Your Message?
What were the biggest lessons that you learned? What did you teach others? What were you most uncompromising about?
What is great about this exercise is that it assumes that you lived the life of your dreams already and are looking back with complete gratitude that you lived life exactly how you were meant to live it – with richness, success, accomplishments and love.
What kind of life do you want to live? What is your vision, purpose and passion? What is your message?

Hi Khongor.. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my blog post. I will be travelling over the next several days, but once I return and have some time, I will send you an email. Hang in there. I know how you feel. Don’t get too stressed out about it. You’re blessed to have started your journey rather than just settling for an unfulfilling life. I’ll be in touch soon : )

Hi,
Just wanted to say that this is a start for me. I really enjoyed reading this and think you are on a great path with this attitude. There are many people who don’t care enough that if they were to answer these questions, the answers would always be with “I, ME, MYSELF” and that is not what makes life glorified. It is truly a give and take relationship that we have with mother earth and all its inhabitants. BTW, your reflective suggestions really resemble native american ways and truths. I will have to meditate more and focus on reflections so I have be a stronger me to help more people. Thank you for that post!

Hi There! First of all, thank you so much for dropping by and leaving your thoughts. I really appreciate it : ) I’m not very familiar with Native American practices, but I’d love to learn more about them! You’re absolutely right – life is about everyone collectively – not just self. Do you have a blog? I’d love to drop by and check it out! Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving : )

That’s a powerful message, Cezar!
You know I was listening the Get The Edge program by Tony Robbins the other day and he’s talking about the same thing but he calls the rocking chair test or something like that.
One thing I don’t want to experience before my time is up is regret. So that’s why I choose to give all I got and love fully.
thanks
